Imaging study identity
Unlinked studies
Open Imaging → Unlinked studies when a scanner or import supplied a study with no patient association. The received name or identifier is evidence to check, not a selected patient. Find and verify the patient record, enter its UUID, explain why the link is appropriate, then tick the confirmation yourself. The confirmation is always initially unchecked.
You may optionally enter an imaging procedure UUID when linking a retrospective order. Do not link a study merely because a demographic suggestion looks similar.
Correct a wrong association
Use /imaging/studies/{studyId}/reconcile only to correct a study already attached to the wrong
patient. This is deliberately a separate safety flow, not a patient dropdown on a study editor.
Review the current association, enter the correct patient UUID and a reason, then choose Reconcile study. The former patient association, reason, actor and time remain in Reconciliation history. A correction never removes that history.
Both flows require the distinct reconcile imaging studies permission (imaging.study.reconcile).
When something looks wrong
